The festival has published its full programme, with a record number of entries in the new directors strand. Across the whole line-up, debuts and second features account for almost half.
The selection team said this was deliberate. "We want the festival to discover work, not only to display it."
What happens after the screening
This edition adds post-screening discussions: every selected film gets at least one conversation with audiences and industry figures, running no less than forty minutes.

- New directors strand: a record number of entries
- Programme: debuts and second features nearly half
- New: at least one discussion per film
- Length: no less than forty minutes each
Tickets go on sale next week, with some new directors screenings priced at a subsidised rate.
